This morning I went to the Vatican Museums with a charming couple (I’m not going to tell you their nationality, I speak english, french, spanish and italian). We left the Sistine Chapel and we reached Saint Peter basilica. Arriving there, the first thing that everybody notices is the statue that you see in the picture.

This statue depicts Saint Gregorius of Armenia. A Saint, with his long beard, his bishop hat with the Holy Spirit…well, a saint, that’s it. Under the statue the name is written in latin: S. Gregorius Armeniae. That Armeniae was too much for the lady, certainly more fond of fashion than of latin. She looked at the statue and she asked me: “Is that the statue of Giorgio Armani?”

Giorgio Armani, the fashion designer. In Saint Peter…I was compelled to deceive her.
