Art and history tours in Rome with an official guide
Pont flottant sur le Tibre, œuvre éphémère d’Olivier Grossetête (2021)
I am an art historian and an official tour guide in Rome. In general, to get lost is not a good reference for a guide, I agree.
Selecting the title for this website, I remembered the time I finished a tour to the Aventine Hill and went down to the valley of the Circus Maximus. I knew that a crowded bus and annoying commitments at home were waiting for me. Suddenly I realized that the sun was going down in front of me and the Palatine was fading into the shadows.
The dates and lists of emperors no longer seemed important, and my knowledge became insignificant in the face of such beauty. I was lost, for a moment, in this feeling of joy. If I could communicate Rome to you in this way, I would have done my job well.
